It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Also, visit the Energy Art Movement site [link] am a member of this group and have been very pleased with it. It is one of the few online groups who actually put together real shows in real galleries. What started as an online group of artists with somewhat common ideas, has become a full blown art movement. I have participated in four shows now including exhibitions in Toronto, Chicago, Memphis, and currently Russia! Sold some artwork at the last show too, which was nice. But mostly, these shows are great opportunities to have new viewers see our art. Also, I enjoy having my art in shows with artists who inspire me. The galleries have all been very nice as well.

I was really happy to be voted into the exhibition but unfortunately the shipping costs were way beyond what I could afford. The shipping came to over 150 GBP and added to that was the packaging and framing ... altogether it was just over 225 GBP ... I should have done some research into costs first!

I feel really bad about letting Giorgio down. I have apologised to him and he was really good about it. Still it is a bit disappointing not to be taking part ... I was really excited about the prospect. Never mind ... I'm sure there will be another opportunity.

Hope it all goes well in Russia and here's hoping you get some good feedback!
